Dominika's Story: How a Single Wrinkle Led Me to Face Yoga & Taping

Hi, my name is Dominika and I came to face yoga and beauty taping several years ago.

For a long time I was bothered by the wrinkle between my eyebrows and kept trying to deal with it. I'm light-sensitive, and at the same time I realized I was using my frowning muscles even during ordinary activities, looking at the computer, when concentrating, and especially when I slept. I was permanently 'frozen' in a frown, as if that frowning state was the natural default mode for my muscles.

That's why I decided on botox and had it applied for the first time at the age of 21. At first it t really helped, I didn't frown and I saw it as prevention for the future. I felt I was doing something right for my skin. Over time, however, I noticed the effect didn't last as long and was no longer as pronounced as I would have wished.

Three years ago I was going through one of my more difficult periods. When I looked in the mirror I saw myself, but in a way I didn't want to see, tired, worn out and older than I felt. That's when I fully realized how much our face reflects emotions, stress, fatigue, and also how we take care of ourselves and how much attention we give ourselves.

It was during that period that face yoga came into my life. At first I started practicing at home just for myself. Gradually I noticed results, but even more important was the awareness of how automatically we use our facial muscles without thinking about it. And when we want to engage them consciously, we suddenly find that we don't even know how to control them. It truly fascinated me, and that's why I decided to take a certified face yoga course to understand it deeply and grasp how it all works. I then continued with many workshops on face and décolleté taping. And taping is exactly what my clients have come to love most.

Today I know that beauty isn't only about creams or procedures. It's also about how we feel, how we breathe, how we work with tension and how we are able to take care of ourselves in a natural way.

I would also like us to stop having only a negative relationship with wrinkles. Wrinkles are a part of us, and there is nothing more beautiful than aging with grace. And you see, if I hadn't had that 'favourite' wrinkle that brought me onto this path, I might never have come to face yoga and taping at all. This too is proof that wrinkles aren't only bad, on the contrary, they can steer life toward something better. :)

And it is exactly this attitude and my knowledge that I want to pass on to you.
